Series 1000EX Frequently Asked Questions

The dialer will not accept commands.

The dialer will not accept commands. The phone commands can be affected by back ground noise being fed in through your phones mouthpiece. If your phone has a "Mute" button use it, if you don't, cover the mouthpiece with your hand.

When I pick up my programming phone the "Off Hook" light does not come on.

Make sure that the dialer is plugged into an active phone line. If an active phone line is not available you will need to turn the power switch off, pick up you handset and turn the power back on.

When I put a channel in alarm the light on the module comes on but the dialer does not make a call.

Even though you may have a channel setup as a particular type of module you must set the dialer to "Call on Alarm". To check the command is *cc8* (cc = channel number 01-41) to program the command is **cc82* (cc = channel number 01-41).

Does the dialer need to be plugged into a active phone to program?
